Shipping address and billing address

What is the difference between billing address and mailing address?
When we shop online, we will find that we need to fill in two addresses, one is the billing address (Billing Address) and the other is the shipping address (Shipping Address).

So what is the difference between a billing address and a mailing address?

Billing Address
What is the billing address?
The general billing address is the address associated with our payment method. It is usually the address we fill in when applying for a bank account and credit card.
Billing address purpose:
Verification: When processing a payment, the merchant uses the billing address to verify the credit card information you provide. This is a measure to prevent fraud.
Billing: Bills and payment details are usually sent to this address, but these days this is usually done electronically.

Note on billing address:
It must be consistent with the address in bank records, otherwise the payment may fail.
Shipping Address
What is the shipping address?
The delivery address is the address where we want the merchant to deliver the goods after we purchase them.
Purpose of shipping address:
Product delivery: This is the address where you will actually receive the goods purchased online.
Fill in the requirements:
This can be any address that is convenient for you to receive your shipment, and does not necessarily have to be the same as your billing address.
Notes on delivery address:
Verify payment: The billing address is used to verify payment information and ensure the credit or debit card is legitimate.
Product delivery: The delivery address is used for product delivery, which can be your home address, work place, or other place convenient for receiving goods.
Different addresses: The billing address and shipping address can be the same or different. For example, you can use your home address as your billing address and your office address as your shipping address.
